When I see an adult on a bicycle, I do not despair for the future of the human race. |
This Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 2pm, we will celebrate our friend and mentor Conrad Oho... Conrad Oho (born Conrade Isecke) died on 3 May 2010, falling dead near instantly when a previously unknown aortic aneurysm ruptured. He was 67 years old. A consumate "eccentric's eccentric", Conrad lived his life to his own principles with a rarely seen consistency and honesty. He was a master craftsman, known in the Bay Area and around the world for his advocacy of cycling, and his uniquely insightful and meticulously-conceived modifications and adjustments of human powered vehicles. Throughout his adult life he was an active protester against imperialist war and exploitation.
